Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce names Kristen Perry as Executive Director

The Yuba-Sutter Chamber Board of Directors is excited to announce that Kristen Perry has been appointed as Executive Director, effective March 1, 2023. Most recently Mrs. Perry was Membership and Marketing Coordinator for the Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce.

Mrs. Perry has over 10 years of experience being a catalyst for growth, along with developing and implementing membership services. Her career in Non-profit organizations began with Lake County Farm Bureau in 2008. Since then, she’s had an extensive background with a focus in advertisement and business development. Her most recent role as Membership and Marketing Coordinator for the Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce has played an integral part in her career development.


The Board believes that Mrs. Perry will uphold the mission of the Chamber, “Building Relationships. Building Businesses. Building Community.” Along with focusing on our vision of being the premier business resource for Yuba-Sutter. Mrs. Perry’s creative approaches will lead our Chamber into its next chapter of success and be a convener for the economic vitality of our business community.


“Kristen has shown great leadership in her current roll with the Chamber and has helped our businesses and ambassadors rise above any challenge. Kristen is and will be an excellent Executive Director,” said Carolynn Kearby, Board Chair.


“I am really excited for Kristen to step in as the Executive Director for the Chamber of Commerce. She has been an exceptional part of the team over the last year. Her sincere desire to support the business community makes her the perfect candidate for this position. With her experience and expertise, the Chamber is in great hands! I am eager to see all the great things she’s going to do!” Said Marni Sanders, former Chamber CEO.


“I am grateful for the incredible community that welcomed me to the Chamber less than a year ago. I am honored and excited to continue my path with the Chamber as the next Executive Director,” said Mrs. Perry. “With uncertainties of the current economy and the recent challenges of Covid, I see the work of the Chamber to be as important now as ever. I feel that I will bring the skill sets from past employment and training, as well as current organization understanding, to embrace these changes and continue to build the Chamber into the premier organization representing business. Yuba-Sutter is comprised of amazing business owners and professionals who are the backbone of our community; I look forward to working with and growing alongside them.”

Film Yuba-Sutter is here (program initiated by the Chamber)! Marni Sanders, Chamber CEO, along with film commissioner, Sabrina Jurisich presented an update on this project to City of Yuba City, City Council and Yuba County who have both expressed their intention to continue to support Film Yuba-Sutter’s efforts. Film Yuba-Sutter is also receiving support from Visit Yuba-Sutter and in the past has been supported by Sutter County and Marysville (presentations to these jurisdictions are set for February).

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Small nonfarm businesses in 26 California counties and neighboring counties in Nevada are now eligible to apply for low-interest federal disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration, announced Director Tanya N. Garfield of SBA’s Disaster Field Operations Center-West. These loans offset economic losses because of reduced revenues caused by a freeze in the following primary counties that occurred April 11 – 12, 2022.
