Film Yuba-Sutter is here!

Film Yuba-Sutter is here (program initiated by the Chamber)! Marni Sanders, Chamber CEO, along with film commissioner, Sabrina Jurisich presented an update on this project to City of Yuba City, City Council and Yuba County who have both expressed their intention to continue to support Film Yuba-Sutter’s efforts. Film Yuba-Sutter is also receiving support from Visit Yuba-Sutter and in the past has been supported by Sutter County and Marysville (presentations to these jurisdictions are set for February).

Bringing production to our community means economic growth. The Chamber is excited to partner with the local jurisdictions as well as Visit Yuba-Sutter to bring Film Yuba-Sutter to life!

The dedicated efforts to attract film to Yuba-Sutter is an effort to help bring more business, increase tax revenue and jobs, and build a sense of community pride by attracting film production.

With these film production projects come people—-People who stay in our hotels, eat in our restaurants, shop in our stores, require a variety of services and need people to do specific jobs, etc. This is a win-win for our community!

Film Yuba-Sutter is here to help with production needs! Production crews can count on the program for assistance in locations, permits, local incentives and resources—-all offered at no charge.

Film Yuba-Sutter is recognized by the County of Yuba, County of Sutter, and the California Film Commission as the official advocate for filming in Yuba County, California and Sutter County, California. They are also a member of Film USA and the Association for Film Commissioners International (AFCI)

SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans Available to California Small Businesses

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Small nonfarm businesses in 26 California counties and neighboring counties in Nevada are now eligible to apply for low-interest federal disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration, announced Director Tanya N. Garfield of SBA’s Disaster Field Operations Center-West. These loans offset economic losses because of reduced revenues caused by a freeze in the following primary counties that occurred April 11 – 12, 2022.
